Absolutely great place to bring the family! Picnic area and swimming areas. However there are place for those who want to climb and jump off rocks. It does have a sign that prohibits visitors from exploring the ruins but mostly all people are there. My boyfriend and I had a great time.

Easy walk to access the Old Pinawa Dam structure, information signs and rapids. Gate closed in winter, parking on the street adds to the walk. Great access to the Trans Canada Trail.

Really cool place to go exploring. The decommissioned dam stands in harmony with the over growing vegetation; excellent photo opt and picnic opportunity. Watch for ticks in the area, they are quite active in parts of the year.

Excellent picnic spot - eat and a walk after. Good way to spend a summer afternoon.

A great Manitoba destination! Beautiful to walk around, go for a swim, or have a family picnic. This is truly one of Manitoba's great outdoor attractions. It can be an easy walk for anyone with mobility concerns, or challenging over the rocks, crevasses, and rapids. Great historical information as well. Definitely worth the drive from Winnipeg.
